Talk time

The children have all settled back in really well and it has been great to see our older children being really helpful and supportive with our new younger children.

We are carrying on with the snowman theme and going to be talking to the children about their experiences over the Christmas holidays. It would be great if you could send us photos over the e-mail so that we can share them as a class.

Thank you

Welcome Back

Welcome back and we hope you have had an exciting holiday!

This week we will be welcoming new children into the nursery as well as Mrs Coleman who will be with us every morning.

We will be carrying on with the winter theme and sharing the classic story of The Snowman. This will hopefully allow the children to remember their Christmas holiday and talk to us and each other about their experiences.

The following is a link to you tube which has the full video which I'm sure the children will enjoy.

The Blog will be regularly updated throughout the term so please keep checking and as always staff will be available to speak to before and after each session.

Thank you

Elf Attack

Today in nursery we arrived to find a naughty elf had been messing up our classroom. I have written to Santa to complain and the children helped to tidy up.

Winter Wonderland

Hi Everyone

The school's new theme has started and we will be starting by returning to Percy the Park Keeper. This time the winter story - One Snowy Night.

The video of this can also be found on the same link as After the Storm at about 32:43

We will be continuing our preparations for the Christmas performance and this week we are practising Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. The children are doing really well learning the actions and words to the songs. Encouragement to practise at home is much appreciated.

This is the link for the music:

Thank you

Nativity Week

Hi Everyone

In the recent survey several families said they didn't know what the expectations of homework were in the nursery. Please keep accessing the blog and we will give links and make suggestions of things that will help your child's development.

As well as this keep sharing your child's learning experiences via the e-mail and we will keep putting them on the display board in the cloakroom.

This week we are introducing the story of Christmas to the children as their literacy focus in the lead up to advent on Friday.

This is the link to the whole story.

We will also be practising our 2nd song for the performance and this will be number based.

The children enjoyed the first song and have learnt it well. The link is below if you would like to help them at home.

Please come back again next week when we will be starting the school's new theme.
